12/18/09: Oh nooo I've been slacking on the club! Gomen! School is finally over so I can be around more but that was such a busy time for me @.@ the subby vanished while I was away D: I am waiting for my paypal account to award the new one (it takes 3-5 days to verify/confirm/etc) so the journals will look boring again for a couple days, hopefully no one will notice but then again since I'm updating this lovely contest journal and if I want more people to join then they WILL notice oh well... I've got 3 new art submissions and a fanfiction! Keep 'em coming everyone ^O^

12/5:09: Another reminder about the contest! perhaps I started it a little early from excitement but now that it's December, hopefully people are thinking more about Christmas and winter-themed topics though, here in lil RI it's been a balmy 50-60 degrees it's very strange... so I personally am not thinking of wintery things quite yet but maybe the rest of you have seen flecks of snow by now? 11/11/09: I know what you must be thinking... WINTER?! ALREADY?! NOOOOO! Or, perhaps some of you are already ready for winter depending on where you are but last year I had a lot of fun with this contest so I wanted to re-visit it with a new twist! Before the Halloween contest, some people were interested in having either a favorite character contest, or a favorite couples contest! So, my idea was, not only would this contest have to have some sort of winter theme, but a character or couple you're most fond of to be added into the mix! I haven't really decided yet how to go about this exactly... because how will I know if you want to just draw your favorite character or favorite couple?? So, I was thinking perhaps if I get more than a certain amount of entries for each like say more than 3 entries for a favorite character and more than 3 entries for a favorite couple then I'd split it into categories again like for Halloween! Sounds fun right...? Erm, right?! I hope so!!

Also, I was thinking, it would be most interesting to see WHICH couple and WHICH character gets the most amount of fan art or fan fiction! And then perhaps I could do something with that to make things interesting... it would be definitely cool to see which characters and couples get the most love! You can cross over seasons for couples or have your favorite character from each season all together, something interesting like that! And no you don't have to just draw the digimon kids, it could actually be your favorite digimon! But remember the winter theme!! ;D Ok!? Alright! So, I will break that down into basic rules for you and you can have fun with it!!

DIGI-WINTER-WONDERLAND

Basic Rules

1. The theme for the contest MUST include: a Christmas and/or winter theme, YOUR favorite character(s) and/or YOUR favorite couple(s).
2. Fan art AND fan fiction welcome. 2 entries per contestant, meaning you can write 2 stories, draw 2 entries, or write a story and draw an entry, mix and match!
3. Cross-overs of seasons are allowed. Original characters are allowed, BUT you *must* include an actual character from the show as well!
4. Attempt keeping the entries PG-13 at least! If you think you might have a problem with this, just check with me!
5. The deviation must be created by YOU! Spend some time on it, don't just pick an old image in your gallery

PRIZES FOR CONTESTS (1st-4th depends on how many entries are received as well! Prizes may vary, if there is only 1 entry for art and 1 for writing or more than 10 entries, etc.)

1st place: 3 month subscription and a digital drawing of almost anything!
2nd place: 3 month subscription and a colored copics drawing of almost anything!
3rd place: 1 month subscription and a colored pencil drawing of almost anything!
4th place: 1 month subscription and a penciled drawing of almost anything!

When I say a drawing of "almost anything" I basically mean I'll draw anything unless it's something dA policies won't allow me to submit or if I really suck at the suggestion XD; I normally take on all challenges though X3

PLEASE NOTE! You do NOT have to accept the drawing or subscription, you are completely free to choose both, 1 or the other or decline the offer. I just feel that it's nice to try and offer something for your hard work :3

Some of these prize-artists may only have participated for the matsuri contest, I will have to check if they are rewarding anything for the Winter contest
